Access Statement

Before you arrive

Our aim is to ensure that all visitors can enjoy a holiday at Treloy Touring Park. Please feel free to telephone us to discuss your needs if the following does not answer your questions.

We have pitches for tents, caravans and motor homes. If you require a pitch very close to the toilets/showers, we will do our best, but early booking is advisable, and please let us know your requirements.

We are happy to take delivery of locally hired wheelchairs or mobility scooters for same-day collection by yourselves.

The public approach roads to the Park allow excellent access.

On Arrival

There is a ramp to the Reception and wide doors. If the doors are closed, please ring the bell, which is at a low level, for assistance. 

There is a high-level desk, but we can provide assistance if required. Once checked in, we will provide you with a map of the site, with your pitch highlighted. You may drive your car to your pitch and park it on the pitch. Please refer to the pitching instructions as described on the reverse of the map as it is aimed at conforming to fire regulations. 

There are gravel roads to the pitches. Where necessary, pitches have been landscaped to make them flat or as near as possible. Many roads have been widened, but please ask for assistance if you need it.

On the park

When on the park, you will be able to purchase wi-fi access. This is payable by card, on the mobile phone or device you wish to use.

Mobile phone reception is variable, best to check with your supplier.

There are water points in each of the camping areas. 

The facilities buildings are lit during the hours of darkness.

When Reception is closed, you will find emergency numbers displayed on the doors or side panels.

Toilets and Showers

There are modern toilet and shower block facility complexes. C and D (refer to park plan) are situated near the playground and K is situated further up the campsite. We recommend C or D for easy wheel-chair access. These also have Private Washrooms and each building has an individual ambulant toilet cubicle. 

There is a dedicated Accessible shower/toilet room in D, no radar key is required.

There are three family shower rooms (one with a child-size bath) with level access.

A smaller block, J, containing toilets only, has a step.

There are free to use hair-driers, shaver points, and electric sockets for your own curlers, hair-straighteners etc.

Laundry Facilities

Level access to three coin-operated stacked washer/driers (front-loading) and ironing facilities. 

Dishwashing

There is level access to the dishwashing room in each facility building. There is also a top-opening freezer here if you wish to freeze your own ice-packs.

Shop

There is level access to the shop and a wide door, and access to the terrace at the side of the shop, overlooking the children’s play area. There are picnic tables here. You can hire our frozen ice-packs from the shop for a small deposit and fee.

Swimming Pool

Access to the patio to the swimming pool side of the shop is via 4 steps with handrail, and another 4 steps with handrail to the swimming pool, which has a simple magnetic childproof gate. If you have a wheelchair or pram and wish to access the pool area, follow the level path around to the side gate, which also has a simple magnetic childproof gate. There are also 2 pool side changing rooms adjacent to the pool, with a step access. There is also a toilet, with baby change and easy access. Please note that the pool is not lifeguarded.

Cafe/Takeaway

The terrace with tables in front of the takeaway has no steps. There are four steps into the cafe. There is ramped access to the rear terrace of the café. There is an additional raised patio seating area, accessible via steps at the front or the ramp to the rear. Menus are available from the cafe and reception. Please ask if assistance is required.

Bar and Games room

Access to the large terrace is via 2 steps. The Games room opens via a door from this terrace. From the patio there are a further 4 steps to the Bar; however a side entrance can be unlocked by arrangement, please ask or phone reception. Inside, the bar is all on one level with moveable tables and mostly moveable chairs.

Refuse Disposal and Recycling

There are 2 refuse and recycling areas, level access to both.

Chemical Disposal Points

Both of these have level access.

Motor Home Disposal Point

We offer a dedicated easy access motor home service point for emptying onboard grey waste tanks and refilling.

Out & About in Cornwall

Leaflets and packs of information about attractions in Cornwall are held in Reception. There is a bus service along the A3059 to Newquay etc; 10 minutes uphill walk to the bus stop. There is a route through the site and dog exercise field, shown on the Park Plan.

At reception, we can also provide you with taxi numbers.
