Wildlife

The pond had a good first year and it is rapidly establishing itself. It has been attracting birds (including a kingfisher), mallard ducks, and recently a heron has been captured on the wildlife cam.
As spring goes into summer we can expect to see more generations of frogs, toads, small fish and the amazingly beautiful and acrobatic dragonflies over the water. Newts can be seen among the water plants in the shallows. Deer regularly visit the pond, and there are night-time visits in the wooded area by badgers, foxes and stoats recorded on the web cam.
