G7 Cornwall June 2021
The G7 Summit is being held in St. Ives in Cornwall in June – will it affect my holiday?
Newquay Airport will be used by the heads of state with their delegates, escorts and the press/media. Their planes will stay on the runway at the airport for the duration of the conference. Transfer of delegates from the airport to St Ives will be by helicopter and by coach, so the surrounding roads will be busier than usual, and subject to possible delays. The police will set up check points around the perimeter of Newquay Airport, and our visitors will need two forms of identity plus proof they are staying at Treloy Touring Park in order to access the site between 10th – 13th June. We are delighted that Cornwall has been chosen for this worldwide and important conference and work is going on to make things as smooth and safe as possible for conference delegates, local people and visitors.
